Wigginton crossroads closed for 3 weeks

In the interests of public safety it will be necessary for Oxfordshire County Council to close a section of Wigginton Heath Crossroads to facilitate repairs. The estimated duration of the works is 26 days.

Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for those frontages within the closure area, subject to the progress of the works. Please note that access routes will depend on exactly where the works vehicles are at any time and may need to be negotiated with the gang on site as necessary. A historical drama featuring a young laundress who gets caught up in the Suffragette movement, and the fight for women to gain the right to vote.

Sibford Gower Gardens open

Gowers Close & Carters Yard

Gowers Close and Carters Yard are two plantsmen’s gardens brimming with unusual plants and marvellous colour. Plant stall at Carters Yard.

Entry £5 (covers both gardens), children free. Proceeds to the National Gardens Scheme who last year distributed £2,637,000 to many charities including £500,000 each to Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, and Hospice UK and lesser amounts to Carers Trust, Queen’s Nursing Institute and Parkinson’s UK to list but some.

We do hope that as many of possible of you will come to support us. Please bring your friends.

Open Day & Country Fair

Featuring performances, displays of work, practical demonstrations, stalls, entertainment, refreshments and more.

Talk to parents & families of prospective pupils at 11am.

Country Fair stalls to run from 10am ~ 2pm and include Lettercarve, The Granary Oil Company, The Jam Lady, Cotswold Beauty, Mira Crafts, Alec H Jones Ironwork, Dotty Daisy, Hook Norton Honey, Jonquil Sabin, Tolly McRae and Pots of Pleasure and Purpose.

Refreshment stalls open from 10.30am including The French Café, The Bap Shop and Cotswold Hills Ice Cream.
