Oxfordshire Historic Churches Trust Sponsored Ride + Stride

Holy Trinity Church
Organisation:
Holy Trinity Church
Saturday, 9 September 2017 (All day)

Since the Trust was founded in 1964 as The Friends of Oxfordshire Churches several million pounds has been given in grants to churches of many denominations within the county. About half of this money has been raised by the annual Ride + Stride event.

The first Sponsored Ride + Stride in Oxfordshire was held in 1986 as just a bicycle ride and the event has been growing ever since. Last year, Holy Trinity Church’s Ride + Stride raised over £135.

The Ride + Stride is also an effective way of raising funds for our church as 50% of the sponsorship money (excluding gift aid) comes straight back to the church if it is designated by the Riders and Striders. Read more »

Gospel Bell

Gospel Bell are an Oxfordshire based folk group with a difference. They will provide lovely music but also something a “bit spiritual” and thought provoking. The group recently did a similar performance at Deddington church … and it went down a storm! There is a rich tradition of Gospel music and Gospel Bell sustains this by drawing on blues, folk and country music influences to re-creates these songs.

Afternoon Tea will be available. No charge, but donations always welcomed.
